About
CareerCatalyst HQ publishes essays about career growth, workplace psychology and remote-work independence, aimed at freelancers and remote professionals.
Who it is for
People who work without a manager standing next to them. If your output depends on structure you have to build yourself, and you have noticed that advice written for office workers does not transfer, this is written for you.
How these essays are made
Each piece is drafted with AI assistance and then edited by a human before it is published. That is stated on every essay, in the footer, and it is not a disclaimer we hide at the bottom of a legal page.
Every essay is also required to contain at least one lived detail supplied by a person rather than a model. If that detail is missing, the essay does not get published — it waits.
What this is not
- It is not licensed career counselling, therapy, or financial advice.
- It is not a source of statistics or research findings. Where a claim depends on evidence, the essay says so and links out rather than asserting a number.
- It is not monetised through affiliate links. No essay on this site contains one. If that changes, the relationship will be disclosed in plain language on the page where it appears.
Images
Diagrams on this site are drawn for the site itself, and are published as original work rather than sourced as photographs. We do not use stock photographs of people to illustrate essays, and the author’s avatar is a set of initials rather than a borrowed face. That is a deliberate choice: a stock photograph of a stranger is not evidence of anything, and presenting one as the author would be a lie.
Who writes it
Leonardo Otunga is the byline used for this publication.
